Mumbai Indians (MI) bought 8 players in the auction as we saw their full official squad and played 11 players for IPL 2023.
2023 Ipl Team List
Mumbai Indians were making headlines even before the IPL 2023 auction when they kept only 16 players; a completely different strategy from their past. They put a lot of players in the pool, including several promising young talents that they typically invest in for 2-3 years.

But they changed that in the auction, where they bought a total of eight players to ensure they had an almost complete IPL 2023 squad. MI’s most notable acquisition was Cameron Green, who they purchased for a salary of 17.5 Cr; the second most expensive player in IPL history.
Except for him, almost all the players Xiaomi bought were bought at a reserve price. So here is the list of all the players acquired by Mumbai Indians for IPL 2023 and their purchase prices.
Cameron Greene [17.5 Cr], Gee Richardson [1.5 Cr], Piyush Chawla [0.5 Cr], Duane Jansen [0.2 Cr], Vishnu Vinod [0.2 Cr], Shams Mulani [0, 2 Cr], Nehal Vadhera [0.2 Cr] and Raghav Goyal [0.2 Cr].
All in all, Mumbai Indians have a decent team that is totally focused on the match winners. If we look at their best first pick 11, Mumbai Indians have 4-5 potential match-winners who can win the game single-handedly.

But remove them and we have an inexperienced Mumbai Indians team. Mumbai Indians can only hope that their starting 11 is uninjured. So, here is the full list of Mumbai Indians players in IPL 2023.
Dewald Brewis [o], Rohit Sharma [c], Suryakumar Yadav, Thilak Varma, Tim David [o], Ishan Kishan [wk], Tristan Stubbs [o&wk], Vishnu Vinod [wk], Arjun Tendulkar, Arshad Khan, Cameron Green [o], Duane Jansen [o], Hrithik Shokin, Jofra Archer [o], Nehal Vadhera, Ramandeep Singh, Shams Mulani, Akash Madhwal, Jason Behrendorf [o], Jasprit Bumrah, Jie Richardson [o], Kumar Karthikeya, Piyush Chawla and Raghav Goyal
Meanwhile, when it comes to top first-choice players who have played 11 games for Mumbai Indians, 5 of their top 6 players are the same as what we saw in IPL 2022. So we have Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan to start, and Suryakumar Yadav, Thilak Varma and Tim David as well as 3 other mid-level players,
The only change we’ve seen is the addition of Cameron Green, who will likely play at the 3. Apart from these six, MI’s low post is a bit weak and they will have to rely entirely on Joffra Archer and Kumar Karthikeya.

Meanwhile, MI’s bowling attack was excellent, with Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah leading the way as two excellent options. Jason Behrendorff will serve as the third man, while Piyush Chawla and Kumar Karthikeya will serve as the two spinners on the team.
