Josh Hazlewood Ipl – Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fast bowler Josh Hazlewood will arrive in India from Australia by April 14 and remain fit for another week, essentially giving him a record for the first half of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Australian pacer is nursing an Achilles heel injury and may miss RCB’s first seven matches of the season starting Friday.

Australian pacer Glenn Axwell, Hazlewood’s RCB side, is also in doubt for the tea party opener against Ubaid Indians on April 2 in Bengaluru. The Axwell tool has not yet regained full strength following a broken leg.

IPL 2023 – AC 1: GT vs CSK – When and where to watch, head to head, full teams, likely playing XI, venue details, weather forecast and IPL 2023 is ready to start. The opening leg of season 16 will pit the two best friends against each other as captains. Hardik Pandya will lead his Gujarat Titans to tea and hope to retain their title at the end of the season. S Dhoni will lead the way
“Everything is going according to plan, so depending on how the next two weeks go, I’m going ahead on the 14th (April),” Hazelwood told The Age.
“Maybe I’m not quite ready to go then, but hopefully I’ll be ready to go after another week in India to put things right (skill-wise).”
Hazelwood, knocked out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India, hopes to prepare for the Ashes through the IPL.
Ipl 2022:
“You don’t have a heavy workload for T20s. It’s just ticking the boxes to get up to speed and push back in the run-up. I might just have to do one or two sessions at full speed. Then I’m probably good to play.
CSK vs GT, IPL 2023: Defending champions Gujarat Titans take on last season’s IPL tie-4 winners Chennai Super Kings as they press the restart button in two new teas. Gujarat Titans staked their claim on India’s pool of resources, easily securing 10th in the league by winning the trophy in their debut season. The Titans have built a reputation for doing so
“T20 is very different from Tests and even ODI cricket. You only need 20 balls at full speed and it’s close, which is a good thing,” he said.
“It’s a pinch, the Achilles tendon. It’s a slow process but it takes a bit of work, and I have to prepare for the Ashes, so it will be in the cricket game,” Hazlewood said.

Ipl 2021: Josh Hazlewood Pulls Out In A Blow To Csk
Josh Hazlewood is set to miss the opening stages of the Indian Premier League but is hopeful of a move away from Royal Challengers Bangalore after the tournament.
Hazelwood has suffered a frustrating run of injuries, the latest of which was an Achilles problem that ruled him out of all four Border-Gavaskar Tests in India.
The 32-year-old, who missed time in the previous two home Test summers with a side strain, suffered a sprained Achilles after bowling ahead of the SCG Test in January. The damp and soft parts of the pitch where Hazlewood came into his bowling put extra pressure on his body and the fast bowler took a long time to recover from it.
Hazlewood, on a $1.44 million contract after RCB picked him up in the 2022 ‘mega-auction’, has been flown back to Sydney after missing the first two Tests in India and will consult with Australia’s medical staff. Before traveling to IPL.

Australia face a busy Test World Cup schedule ahead of five Ashes Tests in Britain in June-July, before a limited-overs tour in September before the ODI World Cup in India in October and November.
While Hazlewood is keen to make a comeback through the IPL, he said Tests are his top priority.
“As much fun as T20 is and as rewarding as it is, I think he still plays second fiddle to Tests,” Hazelwood said when he was in Bengaluru in February.
“This series, the Ashes series, you are playing for the domestic summer. I don’t think that will ever change.
Ipl 2023: Hazlewood Likely To Miss First 7 Games Of Rcb
“I’ve been talking to guys in Australia, NSW … to put a plan together (to manage his body). It’s probably about short-term loss versus long-term gain.
“You have the T20 World Cup or the IPL or the ODI series, but that box is still not ticked off the field to be ready for the Test series.
“It might hurt that particular series, or you might not be 100 per cent but in the long run you’re in a better position for the Ashes summer or the Test at home. It’s just a matter of what’s right and how much you can do.”
Glenn Maxwell, who missed Australia’s last two ODIs against India earlier this month, is an uncertain starter for RCB’s IPL opener as he recovers from a leg injury.
Josh Hazlewood Replacement
Maxwell, who broke his leg in a freak accident at a friend’s birthday party last November, found his return to ODIs “more demanding than he expected”, national selector George Bailey said.
Maxwell is understood to have been working hard on strength and conditioning in the gym with RCB going into their opening game against Mumbai Indians on Sunday night, for whom Australian all-rounder Cameron Greene is set to make his IPL debut.
Thirteen Australians with a combined net worth of more than $10 million will feature in this year’s IPL starting Friday night.
Green, who was sold for an eye-watering A$3.15 million at an auction last December, joined the Mumbai franchise this week after a short break following the Tests in Australia and the country’s ODI series.

Green has already spent eight weeks in India with the Australians and will face nine other players from the country before heading to England for the World Test Championship final and the Ashes round.
With a limited-overs tour of South Africa in September, before returning to India for the ODI World Cup and subsequent five-match T20 series, Green faces a busy year if he continues to play in all formats.
David Warner, who will captain Delhi Capitals in this year’s IPL, is the only player to match Green’s workload this year, but he has already embarked on a tour of India after returning home from injury and a broken elbow.

IPL 2021: M.S. Dhoni seals playoff spot for Chennai Super Kings after Josh Hazlewood’s special against Sunrisers Hyderabad
With Josh Hazlewood (3/24) and Dwayne Bravo (2/17) being CSK’s best bowlers, the SRH innings lacked momentum earlier.
With a fitting victory, Chennai Super Kings’ life came full circle in Sharjah – the place where their IPL 2020 took a turn for the worse. They have now become the second team after Delhi Capitals to qualify for the playoffs at this venue. Meanwhile, the skipper M.S. Dhoni hit the winning shot with a massive six over mid-on after leading the game into the final over – just like he used to. CSK were chasing a modest target of 135 and led by openers Ruturaj Gaikwad (45 off 38 balls) and Faf du Plessis (41 off 36 balls) the team opened with 75 runs in ten balls. With the pitch on the slow side, CSK were in trouble as Suresh Raina quickly got out with a reading of 107/3. SRH could have turned the game around, but Ambati
